Description
The FS-HDR frame synchronizer/converter is designed in a 1RU rack-mount format to meet the demands of HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Color Gamut) in broadcast, OTT, post-production, and live event environments. Developed in partnership with Colorfront and utilizing the Colorfront Engine professional video processing technology, it fully supports the real-time, low-latency processing and color fidelity necessary for 4K / UltraHD and 2K / HD workflows. It supports HDR and 4K / UltraHD / 2K / HD conversions, and serves as a single-channel frame sync up/down/cross converter. In the 4-channel mode, it provides four independent channels of 2K / HD HDR conversion.

Extensive HDR Conversion
The FS-HDR supports input from, or output to, the leading camera models on the market, including PQ (Perceptual Quantizer, the core of HDR 10), and the widely accepted HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). This eliminates the painful process of HDR conversion and enables real-time, camera-to-HDR workflows. By utilizing SDR to HDR conversion, you can incorporate existing content and upgrade it to match your live HDR program output. For live events, large LED displays can use the FS-HDR for HDR to HDR conversion, or to enrich your SDR sources with SDR to HDR conversion.
Real-Time Camera LOG Conversion
The FS-HDR can accept footage from most major professional cameras worldwide and instantly convert their LOG format outputs to 4K/UltraHD or multi-channel 2K/HD, outputting either HDR, SDR, or both simultaneously. The FS-HDR can ingest multiple camera LOG formats and output a unified workflow for use with HDR or SDR compatible switchers and other devices. This significantly simplifies workflows in production environments that mix different camera brands. Furthermore, the FS-HDR also supports conversion to Sony S-Gamut3/S-Log3 upon output, for workflows that require sending a LOG signal to compatible switchers.
Converting Today's SDR to HDR
To match HDR live programs and broadcast signals, SDR to HDR conversion is required to align with the HDR signal and integrate legacy content. The FS-HDR supports SDR to HDR conversion, allowing you to bring in current SDR material and upgrade it to match the live HDR program output. For live events, large, high-nits LED displays use the FS-HDR for HDR to HDR or SDR to HDR conversion, making the screens richer and more vivid.
