In traditional film production, whether in Hollywood or independent films, creating virtual imagery often requires high budgets and costs. Production teams and equipment must move to various locations, building sets and power infrastructure, which is expensive. HTC VIVE introduces the first virtual production system suite, VIVE Mars CamTrack, to solve these problems. It integrates camera tracking into a professional-grade, lightweight, plug-and-play module, allowing actors to be placed in diverse virtual backgrounds in real-time during filming. Without needing a large production studio, filmmakers can fully unleash their creative potential.

Simplifying Virtual Production

VIVE Mars CamTrack simplifies virtual production, significantly reducing overall production time and costs. Utilizing industry-leading Lighthouse base station positioning technology, VIVE Mars consolidates complex shooting workflows into a small, portable box, making it the best virtual production solution for small studios and large production houses alike.
HTC designed this solution to meet the needs of film production, with simple, intuitive operation to help small studios, content developers and international production companies create professional-grade virtual production content.
The VIVE Mars CamTrack system package involves installing Tracker 3.0 accessories on camera equipment. It then tracks the equipment's position and orientation to interact with the virtual scenes on LED screens.
